IT as a Service (ITaaS)

Led the transformation of a Fortune 25 company from “Traditional IT” to “Service Based IT” a.k.a “IT as a Service (ITaaS)”, unlike a “Traditional IT”, a ITaaS focuses on how IT Services are created, paid for, delivered and consumed as well as the defining an owner for those services. The effort helped identify the services that are being provided across IT, prioritize the services, identify and eliminate redundant and unwanted services; and associate a cost to deliver the services. Alternate sourced many commodity services to reduce cost and increase agility for IT. Certified in ITIL v3 and TOGAF.

Highlights 
  • Created a framework for Service Identification and cataloging. This framework help collect all services provided by the IT organization and became a single source of truth.
  • Established a Data Model for IT; eliminating multiple system of records and moving to a system of truth. IT Data Model provides a dimensional view to look for IT Data and make decisions to enable IT as a Business
  • Delivered a Tool to capture and report of the Total Cost of Ownership for Services
  • Led the analysis and options to alternate source services. Some services alternate sourced were Cloud Computing, moving to commodity SaaS solutions, and alternate sourcing operations.
